Reading institutional websites

1. Read what each site shows on its public routes: layout, navigation, templates, trust devices and where cost and risk information appears.
2. Record observations against a fixed set of categories, so different sites can be compared.
3. Keep observation and inference apart. What a site displays is evidence. What it means for the firm is our reading.
4. Do not enter gated or logged-in areas. Sites that could not be read are left out, not guessed at.
5. Keep captures private. Per-firm text and images are research inputs and are not reproduced here.

What it can show

A pattern in how institutions present themselves. In the material read, cost and risk information tends to sit in small or secondary type while trust is shown through badges, awards and reassurance. That pattern is the reason Mynd Finance puts price, risk, method and accountability first.

What it cannot show

It is not audited business data, market sizing or evidence of how well any firm performs. A conclusion from observation is not a measured market finding.
